This was Gremlins' first fixture of the summer hockey season for 2011 at what is their new venue for home matches - Dalziel Park. It was also to be the first game for a second Gremlins' team - "TNB". However, it turned out to be a bit of a "bounce", warm-up, ten-a-side match. Sadly, there will be no second team operating after all, however, those who did turn up for TNB are happy to bolster the Gremlins' squad when required.

The game finished with a 3-1 win to Gremlins, however, a draw would probably have been a more accurate reflection of an exciting end to end game, with both teams missing goal-scoring opportunities - some rustiness which will surely be eradicated quickly.

The new personnel on both sides played well alongside their respective team mates, fitting in very easily with the traditional Gremlins' passing style of play. All bodes well for the upcoming fixtures this summer.
